Hello Subaru of Valencia hosted its annual Santa’s Helpers Toy Drive, a heartwarming event dedicated to supporting underprivileged children in the Santa Clarita area. This year’s turnout surpassed expectations, with over 850 children and their families benefiting from the generosity of Hello Subaru of Valencia. Through donations, Hello Subaru had more than 3,000 presents, a significant increase in gift giving from the previous year. In Santa Clarita 8.27% live below the poverty line. This event extended help to those families in need during the holidays. Santa’s Helpers touched the lives of diverse children across the community. Hello supported local schools and nonprofits like Single Mother Outreach, Boys and Girls Club, Michael Hoefflin Foundation, Family Promise and so many others. When supporting these non-profits, the event helped families facing challenges from their child battling cancer, homelessness, those experiencing domestic violence, or people simply struggling this holiday season. A month before the event, Hello Subaru of Valencia displayed toy donation boxes throughout the dealership showroom. They also had toy donation boxes in various locations in the Santa Clarita area. By inviting the community to donate toys for children of all ages, from infants to 18-year-olds, this ensured no one was left without a present. In the Hello Subaru training room, volunteers gathered the week before the event to prepare the gifts. Toys filled the training room, the lunchroom area and the upstairs hallways. They spent evenings sorting, selecting, and wrapping presents based on each child’s wish list. Some volunteers even dedicated their lunch breaks to this cause. One volunteer said, “This is giving at the highest level.” Many others expressed similar thoughts, appreciating the chance to be part of a company that genuinely cares. Hello Subaru values the enthusiasm of its staff for events like this and having them make a real difference in the community. Santa’s Helpers was not only about delivering toys. It was a festive, fun event with a photo booth with Santa Claus, arts and crafts activities, delicious food and treats, fun games like a life-size Jenga, corn hole, and so much more. Many families spent hours at the event, taking in all the holiday cheer. Each child received gifts, and every family was given a gingerbread house to take home to create memories together. Hello Subaru loved seeing the children’s face light up when they saw Santa sitting in his chair and when they received each gift that was on their wish list. The families who attended expressed their gratitude to the Hello Subaru staff. Many shared stories of how this initiative had significantly impacted their holiday season, highlighting the immense value of giving back. “Hello Gives Back” is not just a saying; it is a movement impacting lives. The initiative goes beyond the act of giving; it is about creating a lasting impact for so many. Hello Subaru of Valencia is beyond proud to be a part of this movement and will continue to do their part in the community they work and live.
