Hosted a Food Drive to Help Families in the Community
Having just celebrated its first anniversary, Hello Subaru of Valencia was eager to continue building strong partnerships that would help create a positive impact on the lives of those in need. To help with hunger and nourish the community, Hello Subaru hosted its first-ever 12th Feed SoCal Annual Food Drive in collaboration with Stater Brothers markets, ABC7, and southern regional food banks for June. Statistics show that 1 out of 7 individuals in Southern California are dealing with food insecurity. As food costs have increased by 9.5% this past year because of inflation, many more may be struggling to feed their families. The retailer aimed to collect unexpired and non-perishable food items, recognizing the importance of providing quality sustenance to those facing food insecurity. The team at Hello Subaru of Valencia and the support of their loyal customers and the local community worked together to bring hope and nourishment to those in need. They had Boxes placed in the retailer, ready to be filled with essential food items. The boxes quickly began to fill up throughout the month with an assortment of non-perishable canned goods like pasta, rice, vegetables, and other nutritious items. Once the boxes were overflowing, the dealership reached out to the Southern Regional Food Bank, excited to share the news of their successful food drive and coordinate a pickup time. The staff from the Food Bank arrived at the dealership, and they were astounded by the overwhelming support the community had shown. They were grateful for Hello Subaru of Valencia’s commitment to addressing the food insecurity crisis in the region. Hello Subaru helped combat hunger and make a difference in the lives of countless individuals. They had not only built valuable partnerships but also strengthened the bonds within their community. They have proven that when people come together with a common purpose, they can achieve remarkable things. The legacy of Hello Subaru of Valencia’s commitment to their community carried on, serving as a beacon of hope and unity for years to come. They had shown that by nourishing connections and working together, they could impact the lives of those in need, creating a brighter and more compassionate future for all.
